Nestled at 1.800 meters above sea level in the renowned Turracher Höhe ski resort, Alpin Peaks Aparthotel stands as a beacon of modern alpine luxury and operational excellence. This family-run, design-focused hotel offers 42 apartments across three floors, blending the freedom of apartment living with the comfort and services of a high-end hotel. The family’s personal touch ensures a warm, inviting atmosphere, while the architecture – crafted from natural materials – harmonizes with the breathtaking alpine environment.

The Challenge

The investor behind Alpin Peaks sought a technology solution that would be both powerful and discreet, operating seamlessly in the background to maximize guest experience and operational efficiency. The goal was to integrate all building systems – room automation, energy management, access control, and EV charging – into a unified platform, ensuring that guests would never feel the complexity behind the scenes.

The Solution

Robotina, in partnership with system integrator IKU d.o.o., delivered a comprehensive HIQ Hospitality solution where all key hotel systems are managed on a single harmonized hardware platform. This includes:
• Room Automation & BMS: Guest Room Management System (GRMS) and Building Management System (BMS) operate on the same hardware, allowing for streamlined control and monitoring.
• Energy Management (EMS) & Solar PV: The EMS, enhanced with a solar plant, optimizes energy consumption and implements peak shaving strategies, reducing operational costs and environmental impact.
• EV Charging: Six Robotina’s EV charging stations are fully integrated with the EMS and room management, allowing guests to use the same digital key for both room and charging stations. In addition, the system gives hotel staff a clear overview of energy consumption, making it easy to monitor usage. It also supports integration with the Property Management System (PMS), so charging costs can be automatically added to the guest’s room bill.
• Access Control: Integration with STID readers provide unified access to rooms, ski lockers, spa lockers, and bike lockers - connected to one system all the way to the controller, it enables easy management with digital (NFC, PIN) and physical RFID keys.

Guests enjoy a frictionless experience - from smart room controls to effortless EV charging. The digital key system enables various combinations of access rights, adapting to different guest profiles and business models.

For hotel staff, the unified platform means simplified management and real-time oversight. All systems – from energy consumption to guest access – are monitored and controlled from a single interface, reducing manual workload and minimizing errors. The solution is future-ready, supporting digital twins and third-party integrations, and is designed to serve the hotel for future upgrades.
